School earns high honor for a second straight year.

For the second year in a row, the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) has been ranked the second public university in the country and ninth-best in the world on Times Higher Education’s World Reputation Rankings of 2019.
Times Higher Education finds and ranks the top 100 public and private universities globally through a survey that reviews 11,554 responses from published scholars spanning 135 countries. According to the publication, “The Times Higher Education World Reputations Rankings 2019 are based on the world’s largest invitation-only opinion survey of senior, published academics. It asks scholars to name no more than 15 universities they believe are the best for research and teaching in their field, based on their own experience.”
University of California, Berkeley was ranked the number one public university in the nation and 6th in the world. California Institute Technology also made it into the top 25 both nationally and globally. UCLA is no stranger to top rankings from several sources. In 2018, UCLA was ranked the number one public university by U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges.
