The West LA Veterans Home is expanding to accommodate the many Veterans needing long-term care and residential housing. As such, CalVet will be hiring over 300 caregivers, food service workers, and other staff to take care of Veterans in our home during the next two years.
On August 26, for anyone wishing to work at the West LA Veterans Home, workshops will be provided on “How to Get a State Job” and “How to Maneuver the CalHR Website” to look for upcoming exams, jobs, and complete State Applications.
On August 26, exam testing and hiring interviews will be taking place for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
On August 27, exam testing and hiring interviews will be taking place for Food Service Technicians I & II and Cook Specialists I & II. In addition we are also recruiting for Nurses, LVNs, rehabilitation therapist, occupational therapist, recreational therapist, pharmacist, social workers, materials and stores workers and other administrative and clerical positions required to operate a long-term care facility.
