New West Hollywood Plan Makes Midweek Outings Easier and Cheaper
In a bid to boost foot traffic and economic recovery for local establishments, the City of West Hollywood and the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce have announced a new “WeHappy Wednesdays” initiative offering free parking throughout the city every Wednesday evening in April.
Starting April 2 and continuing each Wednesday through the end of the month, the city will suspend parking fees at all parking meters, city-owned surface lots, and parking structures from 4 p.m. to midnight. The effort is aimed at encouraging residents and visitors to dine, shop, and explore West Hollywood’s business corridors with fewer financial barriers.
“WeHappy Wednesdays” is part of a broader campaign to support the city’s economic vitality as local businesses continue to navigate the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the recent wildfire crisis, and shifting consumer habits.
“This program is about making it easier and more affordable to enjoy everything West Hollywood has to offer,” city officials said in a joint statement with the Chamber of Commerce. “Free parking on Wednesdays gives the community a reason to come out, reconnect with favorite spots, and discover something new.”
The initiative is designed to support local commerce and foster a renewed sense of community engagement and shared investment in West Hollywood’s future.
