Los Angeles Police Department West Traffic Division Detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect involved in a hit and run collision.
On Thursday, July 30, 2020, around 11:20 p.m., a black Audi was traveling northbound on National Boulevard negotiating a left turn to Manning Avenue and collided with the victim who was riding a scooter southbound on National Boulevard. The victim survived and sustained serious injuries. The driver of the Audi fled the scene without identifying himself or herself and did not render aid to the victim, as required by law.
Drivers are reminded to drive at a safe speed and if you become involved in a collision, you should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify yourself.
On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit and Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members who provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
