Westwood Purple Line Subway Extension Traffic Advisory

From Los Angeles City Councilmember Paul Koretz, who represents Century City and Westwood.

New construction of the Metro Purple Line (D Line) will actively continue in the coming months. LA Metro has decided on two stations to be constructed in West Los Angeles, one at the corner of Westwood and Wilshire and the other at the West LA Veterans Affairs Medical Center.  Please be advised that last weekend Metro implemented the first stage of their traffic plan that will severely impact traffic flow along Wilshire Blvd. in the Westwood Village area during construction. However, businesses remain open in Westwood village and your patronage is greatly appreciated.  Please allow extra time or even better, consider using alternate travel corridors in your commute.
