One of the latest additions to the Westfield Century City mall’s revamped dining terrace is Wexler’s Deli.

This outlet marks the chain’s third place of operation.

Wexler’s is famed for its traditional Jewish deli food. Owners chef Micah Wexler and Michael Kassar received the 2017 StarChefs Los Angeles Rising Star Concept award.

Wexler was named one of the Top 20 Chefs in LA by Los Angeles Magazine and was also a semi-finalist for the James Beard Rising Star Chef award.

Ali & Jay

Contemporary clothing brand Ali & Jay has opened a 700-square-foot permanent store at Westfield, Century City.

Until now, Ali & Jay had only existed as a pop-up store in Malibu and Santa Monica.

“I think that our pop-up’s journey through L.A. was a fun test for us as an L.A.-based brand to explore different neighborhoods,” said Ali & Jay General Manager Melissa Niednagel, who added that Century City reflects a central location for shoppers.

The brand is also evolving from being simply a dress line as a result of its pop-ups where it heard from consumers what they wanted. That led to a broadening of the assortment beyond dresses and into more two-piece sets, jumpsuits and rompers. The company also has launched a graphic T-shirt offering under its own label in line with its evolution.

Niednagel said the T-shirt collection “brings to life the strong, empowered feminist voice that’s driving the spirit of the brand.”

The T-shirts will be sold online at the company’s website. Niednagel said Century City is expected to be the first of many stores for the brand.

House of Polish’s original store opened in Beverly Hills in 2014 and is owned by Robert Nguyen, renowned for his 3-D nail art and his appearance on the reality show “Nail’d It.” While you can still get a regular mani/pedi here, the salon specializes in complicated techniques like hand-painted nail art, ombré nails and Swarovski crystal nails.

To keep customers entertained House of Polish provides iPads and bedazzled Beats by Dre headphones.

The House of Polish is open Mon-Sat from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11a.m.–7 p.m.
