What’s New at Westfield Century City

Halo Top

Halo Top is opening its second Scoop Shop at Westfield Century City mall on April 24 and will be giving away free ice cream all day long.

As part of the festivities, Halo Top says it will be introducing a new line of secret sundaes that won’t be on its regular menus. The first in the secret menu series is the Stardust Sundae, which includes a spiral of Halo Top’s vanilla soft serve ice cream topped with holographic, sugar-free vanilla sauce, star-shaped sprinkles and a rock candy crystal wand, served inside a black waffle cone covered with purple, blue, turquoise, and pink swirls.

The store will open at 10 a.m. on April 24 and the first 50 people in line will receive the Stardust Sundae for free. Other visitors will receive a different free ice cream treat.

“We’re thrilled to announce our second Scoop Shop opening at Westfield Century City, our first Scoop Shop in the heart of LA,” said Halo Top president and COO Doug Bouton. “We can’t wait for more of our fans to experience Halo Top in soft serve form and, most importantly, what’s better than free ice cream all day?”

The opening event will also include a 3D art installation and an interactive photo booth.

Last year Time Magazine named Halo Top ice cream one of the top 25 inventions of 2017.

“It sounds almost too good to be true,” Time’s ranking reads. “A flavor-packed, low-sugar ice cream with no more than 360 calories — per pint.”

Honey Birdette

Honey Birdette

Lingerie label Honey Birdette began in Australia in 2006. Today, there are 55 stores in Australia and the company is now expanding to the U.S. It will open its first American store at Westfield Century City in October.

Founded be Eloise Monaghan, the store will be divided into three rooms. The largest room will have the label’s lingerie collections. A smaller, second room will feature accessories and toys, and the last room will be a fitting room with a velvet sofa. “It’s a one-stop shop for the bedroom,” Monaghan said.

According to Honey Birdette’s mission statement, “We love making your bedroom happy… We do this by bringing you the most exquisite lingerie and toys and serving them on a silver platter. Everything including HB’s luxury toy collection is designed in house.
If your partner’s a little timid, tell him not to be… We’ll take note of your size so he’ll never have to worry. Of course we gift wrap, it’ll be our pleasure. If you want you can talk to us by email or join our VIP list, it’s deliciously naughty.
…or you can just walk into one of our opulent boutiques where we can talk about your desires, share a laugh or just find you the perfect thing.”

To mark Honey Birdette’s California arrival, the company produced a short film of models wearing the label’s lingerie in front of Los Angeles landmarks, including the Hollywood sign.
