A Hollywood-based free-range chicken restaurant is coming to Westwood.
Wildbird, a restaurant from Hollywood that specializes in serving only free range chicken, will be opening a second location in Westwood at 10917 Lindbrook Drive as reported by What Now Los Angeles.
Oscar Rembao, the owner, told What Now Los Angeles, that he projects the new branch will open in the second half of April in 2022.
The establishment has managed to be a success during the pandemic since the first location opened in 2020 and has weathered the pandemic storm since then.
The chicken used for the restaurant’s dishes is also antibiotic free and fed with vegetarian chicken feed which makes their food very appealing to health conscious Angelenos. All of the chicken is trimmed by hand and marinated from the previous evening in a special citrus spice blend.
The restaurant’s style of cooking the chicken is a sear in the broiler followed by a slow roast in the oven and they make their own salsas from organic ingredients.
The restaurant’s website states their establishment’s credo “We believe the choices we make about what we eat, where it comes from, and how it’s prepared, have a direct and powerful impact on the health of individuals, communities, and the environment. We’re always looking for ways to source smarter, to make better decisions, and to help Wildbird and its customers be a positive force in the world and on the food system. We feel a great sense of responsibility and pride to change what it means to be in the business of feeding people.”
