The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Bureau Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) involved in the murder of 24-year-old Nazeer Ejua, Defares, a resident of Decatur, Georgia.
On February 26, 2021, around 6:41 p.m., Wilshire area patrol officers responded to a radio call of an, “Ambulance Shooting,” at Rosewood Avenue and Gardner Street. When officers arrived, they found a young man suffering from a gunshot wound between two vehicles.
The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced Defares dead at the scene.
According to witnesses, they heard two to three shots and found the victim on the ground.
There is no suspect description and the motive is unknown.
