2011 National Gymnastics Day World record attempt Sept. 17, 10:00am PST
As part of our National Gymnastics Day celebration at
Broadway Gymnastic School, 5433 Beethoven Street in Los Angeles, we will join the nationwide attempt to break the current world’s record for the most simultaneous handstands.
In addition to the world record attempt, we also have a “Learn the Handstand Shuffle†activity planned from 9:45 – 9:59am.
The “Handstand Shuffle†is choreographed by J.T. Moye, a professional performer who has danced on Broadway.
Each year, USA Gymnastics celebrates National Gymnastics Day to build awareness of the sport and raise funds for a good cause. Since 2001, gymnastics clubs across the country have raised more than $1.4 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The funds raised are distributed to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in the club’s community.
