On Saturday, February 27th, Special Olympics Southern California showed Marina del
Rey how to turn jumping into freezing water into a good time.
The Polar Plunge allowed local groups to raise money for programs and events at SoCal’s
branch of the Special Olympics – which includes over 22,000 athletes and 15,000 coaches and
volunteers – by immersing into the sub-50-degree ocean at Marina del Rey’s “Mother’s” beach.
