Children (ages 5-12) from low-income families who are receiving assistance from the Salvation Army Santa Monica Corps get a chance to shop with gift cards at the Santa Monica Sears, before the store opens. Along with a personal shopper (volunteers), they’ll get to pick out coats, hats, gloves, and other items needed as we head into wintertime.
Now in its 3rd year, this annual event and partnership with Sears has made shopping sprees happen for thousands of local children. It’s a heartwarming event that shouldn’t be missed!
