Fig and Olive, the Hollywood hotspot on Melrose, was the perfect venue for Doris Bergman’s Style Lounge, honoring the 69th annual Primetime Emmy Awards. More than 100 celebrity style setters came to celebrate the nominated actors, former Emmy winners and industry VIPs. The invitation-only event hosted by Buywine.com and presented by Skinside Drinkable Collagen, attracted several primetime Emmy winners including Kim Estes, Patrika Darbo, Deidre Hall and Brigitte Nielson.
Others partaking of the eatery’s delicious cuisine and bagging such items as fashion forward luggage, stunning jewelry, chic chapeaus and beauty, skin and hair care products, included Naomi Grossman (“American Horror Story”), Steve Bauer (“Ray Donovan”) and Kelsey Scott (“The Walking Dead”).
Wednesday’s Child, which benefits children in need of adoptive families, received dozens of gifts from the attendees who believe in the spirit of giving.
October is the beginning of the social season. Kick off the new season at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills on Oct. 8. This free, family-friendly fun day will feature three-time Emmy winner Debbie Allen, who will lead an outdoor dance class. The Story Pirates will also perform a Greatest Hits show, written by kids from around the world. So fab to have a first-class theatre on the Westside, isn’t it?
The Hollywood Fame awards will take place on Nov. 8 at the Hard Rock Café. Among the honorees are actor Paul Sorvino and his wife Dee Dee. We recently attend a signing party for their best-selling book, “Pino, Pasta and Parties.” The event is being chaired by Al Bowman who has produced The L.A. Music Awards, and there will be a slew of performers including including The Phoenix Patriot Band, who will perform a Neil Diamond and a Santana tribute.
