Santa Monica Playhouse Youth Actors at the Broad Stage

Santa Monica Playhouse Education Conservatory announced today that 10 dedicated members of its Playhouse Young Actors’ Conservatory program were selected to perform in the Santa Monica performances of the visiting Globe Theatre’s production of The Merry Wives of Windsor October 14-24 at the Edythe and Eli Broad Stage at the Santa Monica College Performing Arts Center.

Eight of the youth performers: Asher Bank, Isaiah Berke, Isabelle D’Amico, Hollis Dohr, Talia Heimanson, Bella Padilla, Victor Shlyakhtenko and Alex Vozka will alternate as woodland faeries, and two, Sam Korobkin of Venice and Joseph Ottavi-Perez of Santa Monica, will share the role of Robin Page.

A huge hit in London, Merry Wives is Shakespeare’s Globe’s first large-scale UK and international tour. It is a ribald romp through the Bard’s most bawdy and timeless comedy. As a brilliantly constructed farce and timeless battle of the sexes, The Merry Wives of Windsor “brims with humanity, ingenuity, and irresistible charm.†(Sunday Telegraph.) Purchase tickets online at www.thebroadstage.com/tickets or call (310) 434-3200.
