It’s a sing-the-songs, dance-the-dances, get-on-the-stage, win-the-prizes theatre afternoon, back by popular demand for four weeks only! ALL JOIN IN is a delightfully interactive adventure that includes songs and scenes from such classic Playhouse stories as Cinderella, Alice and the Wonderful Tea Party, Barnyard Madness with the Three Little Pigs, Beauty and the Beast, Snowhite, Dorothy’s Adventures in Oz and more.
Audience members sing along with their favorite characters, win prizes, and vie for the chance to actively participate on stage. Guest performers, songs and stories change regularly, sometimes even from week-to-week, so come often – it’s always a different show! Commissioned to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Santa Monica Playhouse Family Theatre Musical Matinee series, ALL JOIN IN features original music by Evelyn Rudie, Chris DeCarlo and Matthew Wrather, musical direction by Serena Dolinsky, and is performed by internationally acclaimed Actors’ Repertory Theatre members Celeste Akiki, Kate Burleigh, Melissa Gentry, Nima Ghassemian and Cydne Moore joined by Carolyn Freeman Champ, Shannon Martinous and cameo appearances by Playhouse alumni from around the world.
