Charles Dunn Company is pleased to announce that Ron Azad has joined the company as Senior Managing Director of its Real Estate Services company. Azad will have primary responsibility for overseeing the firm’s property management and asset management operations, reporting to Patrick Conn, the firm’s President of Property Management.
“We are constantly looking for industry experts with extensive market experience and established client relationships to help extend our reach,†said Conn. “Ron’s successes and experience as an institutional investment manager will serve as a great asset, and he is a welcome addition to our team.â€
Azad’s real estate career has spanned nearly 30 years since his start at CB Richard Ellis Investors in 1982. While at CBRE Investors, Mr. Azad led real estate investment programs for several pension plans and a large sovereign wealth fund. He managed over $2.8 billion of assets totaling more than 16 million square feet, including over 80 office, industrial, retail, medical office and residential properties, including ground-up developments. In 2008, he was recruited by Adler Realty Investments to serve as Managing Director of Portfolio Management and Development. A member of the firm’s four-person Executive Committee, Azad revamped investor reporting, developed a Trader Joe’s-anchored retail center and worked to improve asset performance amid the economic crash.
“There is no question of this company’s ability to provide superior and all-encompassing service to its customers. I have been thoroughly impressed with the firm’s organization, as well as the sophistication and experience of its managers,†said Azad. “This position presents an outstanding opportunity to take the helm during Charles Dunn Company’s growth and expansion and continue its legacy of best-in-class service and exceptional performance.â€
Azad received a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from the University of California, Los Angeles.
