Story-telling, sing-a-longs, crafts, face-painting, dance, theatre games and free refreshments for all! And to top it off, kids get to act out a fairytale on a real stage! It’s a special holiday event for kids 4 to 10 and their grown-ups, hosted by the gaily costumed Enchanted Lunchtime Ladies. One day only – Sunday, December 19, 1:30 to 3:00pm. Every child also gets an official Santa Monica Playhouse coloring book as a holiday gift.
Participants in this lively and constructive event have the chance to make new friends, improvise, make “props,†sing and dance, and, for this special holiday version of the very popular Playhouse event, everyone gets to perform their fairytale right on the Playhouse Main Stage. Parents may work as partners throughout this adorable acting adven
ture, taking an active role in all aspects of the program as everyone shares their personal perspectives on the day’s fairytale, plays fun games that develop the imagination, and works with crafts to create props which are used in the final presentation. Self-confidence, communication and team-building skills are welcome by-products of this enchanting intergenerational experience. Space is extremely limited – there is only room for 15 families! Reservations are a must.
