Beach=Culture presents: Choreographer in Residence Open Dress Rehearsal

Drawing on anecdotes about Marion Davies parties with surfers and the Marx Brothers, as well as the unique physical qualities of the Beach House site, Glassman began creating “Timeless…” in early March of this year as a part of his Artist Residency at the Beach House.

The work will have its premiere on Monday, May 16th at 6:30pm. Check out this Sunday afternoon opportunity to see the creative team run through the performance in its final rehearsal. The performance will take place outside and in various parts of the facility – please wear layers and sun protection as well as comfortable walking shoes.

Keith Glassman began making dances soon after he started his dance training at San Diego State University as a post-bac student in the late 70s. He moved to New York and studied with, among others, Sara Rudner and Bessie Schonberg and performed in the companies of Kenneth Rinker, Bebe Miller and Catlin Cobb. He formed Keith Glassman & Dancers in 1989. www.keithglassman.org
