The free conference is sponsored by National Alliance on Mental Illness – Westside-LA (NAMI Westside-LA), and provides much needed information on major mental illnesses including; depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder and dual diagnosis.
Issues of family members and others who care for those with brain illnesses will also be addressed, with workshops that offer techniques for better self-care, as well as opportunities to hear the latest research, and have your questions answered.
Mental health experts will offer workshops on various topics, including stress reduction techniques; anger management; borderline personality disorder; self-injury, bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia, The Mental Health court, LPS Conservatorships, treatment for depression, and holistic methods for coping with stress, anxiety and depression.
The conference is free, and CEUs are available for clinicians at a cost of $45.
