The City of Beverly Hills will be voting on the proposal to add a Waldorf-Astoria condominium complex next door to the Beverly Hilton Hotel. After the Beverly Hills City Council voted 3-2 in favor of the project in May, opponents began gathering signatures to have the project proposal placed on the ballot.
The petition was certified on July 8 for consideration on the November 4 ballot.
Oasis West Realty LLC, developers of the new Waldorf-Astoria, has expressed confidence in the residents to vote for their project.
The proposal calls for the development of a new Waldorf-Astoria Hotel with two condominium buildings, surrounded by gardens.
