StarPoint Properties is pleased to announce the addition of Aden Kun as its new director of business development. Through his position he will spearhead the company’s new StarPoint Asset Solutions division, which focuses on helping banks and lending institutions’ turnaround and adding value to distressed real estate assets and notes.
A skilled professional in the real estate banking and equity joint venture sector, Kun joins the company from Buchanan Street Partners, where he was a partner responsible for placing and structuring $524 million in project-level financing for office, industrial, multifamily, residential and medical properties across the nation. He has also previously served as vice president of the real estate divisions at both Bank of the West and Wells Fargo. With approximately 15 years of real estate finance experience, Kun has a rich background of structured finance and a deep understanding of lender issues and needs.
Kun is an alumnus of the University of California at Berkeley, as well as Harvard University. He is a licensed California real estate broker and UDMUC Purple district council member of the Urban Land Institute. He is also a board member of the City of Hope’s Los Angeles Real Estate & Construction Industries Council, as well as the Asian Business Association.
