In observance of Administrative Professionals Day, over 100 legal professionals will attend a new career event offered by the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators, Wednesday, April 27, 5:30 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center Atrium, 333 S. Grand Ave., Los Angeles. The event is free and open to the public.
The Members-In-Transition Networking event is designed for those who have transitioned in their legal careers, possibly due to layoffs, downsizing, and other legal industry career changes.
“I am in transition all the time,†says Luci Hamilton, event chair, naming a move from Brazil to California, the loss of a Managing Partner to cancer, personally surviving multiple heart attacks, and the loss of a job due to the economic downturn. Hamilton is a Past President of GLA ALA and Director of Administration & Finance at Karlin & Peebles, LLP of Beverly Hills.
“My goal is to bring my peers and our business partners together to sustain us no matter what transition we go through,†says Hamilton.
The event will combine art, writing and music with the industry, featuring:
