ECF and UCP, two of the largest non-profit organizations that support adult artists with developmental disabilities, have been serving this population for more than 60 years. Both organizations offer fine-art programs that offer support and training in visual arts.
“This exhibition is essential in promoting the hidden brilliance in our artists,†says Allen Terrell, director of the ECF Art Center programs. “It will help defy any stereotypes the public may have toward adults with disabilities by revealing their creativity and talent – by showcasing their abilities instead of focusing on their disabilities.â€
