ALL JOIN IN: A Fairytale Sing-a-long Afternoon

“For a family day of fun, frolic, and fantasy, ‘All Join In’ is the perfect ticket. With fairy tales to share, the amazing ensemble of singers and dancers brings the pictures on the page to life, painting a canvas of rainbows on stage.â€

It’s the sing-the-songs, dance-the-dances, get-on-the-stage, win-the-prizes Family Theatre afternoon, back by popular demand for three weeks only!

This delightfully interactive adventure includes songs and scenes from such classic Playhouse stories as Cinderella, Alice and the Wonderful Tea Party, Barnyard Madness with the Three Little Pigs, Beauty and the Beast, Snowhite, Dorothy’s Adventures in Oz and more. Audience members sing along with their favorite charaA Modern Mother Goosecters, win prizes, and vie for the chance to actively participate on stage.

Commissioned to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Santa Monica Playhouse Family Theatre Musical Matinee series, ALL JOIN IN features original music by Evelyn Rudie, Chris DeCarlo and Matthew Wrather, musical direction by Serena Dolinsky, and is performed by internationally acclaimed Actors’ Repertory Theatre members Celeste Akiki, Melissa Gentry, Dolinsky, and Katherine Washington as the Mistress of Ceremonies. “You won’t find more professional theatre – for children or adults – anywhere.†L.A. PARENT. Birthday and Tea Parties available in conjunction with every performance. Saturdays and Sundays, 12:30 and 3:00pm, January 15-30, 2011.

$10.50 for children 12 and under, $12.50 for adults. Special Birthday and Tea Party arrangements arGreen is Goode available for every performance.
