We were privileged to attend the annual American Ballet Theatre’s Holiday Benefit at the Beverly Hilton. The event honored Judy Morr, executive vice president of the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Orange County, and was sponsored by jeweler Harry Winston.
More than 300 guests were treated to a one-night only performance from ABT’s principal artists including Stella Abrera, Skyler Brendi, Misty Copeland, Gillian Murphy, Hee Seo, Daniil Simkin and Cory Stearns with excerpts from “The Nutcracker” and “Swan Lake.”
Kudos to the co-chairs of this elegant evening, Sarah Arison, Andy and Avery Barth, Lisa Love and Sutton Stracke and junior co-chair, Hannah Selleck.
Proceeds from this event went to support the ABT and its educational programs.
What a wonderful way to start the holiday season, having the world’s foremost ballet dancers perform for you while dining on gourmet delicacies. A royal treat indeed!
The Golden Score Awards at the Hilton Universal Hotel was a big night for the “Love Boat” television series created by Jeraldine Saunders. The show was celebrating its 40th anniversary, while Jeraldine celebrated her 95th birthday. Singer, songwriter and actor Paul Williams, along with his “Love Boat” collaborator Charles Fox, were honored by the American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers.
Jack Jones sang the Love Boat theme and brought the house down. Hal Linden and Fred Willard (who appeared on the show) were also in attendance.
