First formed in 1948 by Alicia Alonso, Ballet Nacional de Cuba has created more than 600 works and performed in more than 60 countries.
In Los Angeles June 23 – 26, 2011, the company will perform Don Quixote, a full-length ballet based on the epic comic novel by Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes. The company’s legendary production will feature the fearless and virtuosic strength of its dancers and Alonso’s inventive choreography. This Music Center debut is an event that can’t be missed.
