Join us for the culmination of Holly Rothschild’s artist residency at the Annenberg Community Beach House! Seven dancers will trace out a path through the Beach House site, leading audience members to various spots within the five-acre facility. Drawing on history and architecture as well as the echoes of people present and past, Ms. Rothschild has been choreographing an original dance work over the last ten weeks. The resulting performance will explore the site from dusk through sunset – using dance, gesture, and narrative to present the Beach House in a new light!
Please wear comfortable shoes and layers – the beach can change from warm to cool very quickly. The dance will be ~40 minutes, accompanied by a talk by Rothschild and a Q&A session. Reserve your free spot at http://beachculture29.eventbrite.com.
