Maxine Kim Stussy-Frankel Exhibit
Bel-Air was the setting of the Maxine Kim Stussy-Frankel exhibit to benefit Hillsides, a non-profit foster care and treatment center for abused and neglected children.

Stussy-Frankel exhibited her work at her estate, hosted by Trigg Ison Fine Art June 28. The exhibit featured a rare collection of her work from many different periods in one location.  Stuffy-Frankel is a master of early 20th century sculpture. Her work includes six decades of exploration in mediums ranging from wood to nails, and traversing styles that range from Art Deco to Modernist.

Stussy-Frankel continues to create and exhibit her unique portrayal of human, animal and abstract form.

Trigg Ison Fine Art, host of the event, specializes in fine art of the early 20th century with an emphasis on the Art Deco/Modernist Movement.

Western Waldorf Vote
The City of Beverly Hills will be voting on the proposal to add a Waldorf-Astoria condominium complex next door to the Beverly Hilton Hotel. After the Beverly Hills City Council voted 3-2 in favor of the project in May, opponents began gathering signatures to have the project proposal placed on the ballot.

The petition was certified on July 8 for consideration on the November 4 ballot.

Oasis West Realty LLC, developers of the new Waldorf Astoria, has expressed confidence in the residents to vote for their project.

The proposal calls for the development of a new Waldorf-Astoria Hotel with two condominium buildings, surrounded by gardens.
