Bring in the New Year with a Laugh!

Everyone’s invited to join in (and, in keeping with the times, how inexpensive it is!) so early reservations are recommended because… Well…there’s only so much room.

And just what are we celebrating? A brand new year, our third in-a-row city-wide championship over some of the finest comedy theaters in the world as “The Best Improv Comedy Group†chosen by the public on MyFoxLa’s Hotlist City Voter Contest…. So here’s the plan.

Kent Skov’s L.A. Connection Comedy Theatre continues its celebration of the incoming new year, which has been sold out every year for the past 20 years, with two shows featuring our all-star talent of improv players. This year’s celebration will have an 8:00 p.m. show for the amazing price of $20.00 and a 10:00 p.m. show for the ridiculous price of $30.00! PLUS, there will be a limited number of combo tickets available that provide entry to both shows for the bargain-of-the-year price of $40.00.

Both shows run longer than our usual shows, and each is different, with different casts composed of our best players. They will include a mixture of award-winning movie-dubbing clips from LAC’s library of old movie classics (10:00 p.m. show only), improv, classic sketches, and surprising fun throughout the evening. This year someone will win a DVD of LAC’s critically acclaimed “The Night of the Living Dead—Dubbed,†which was created during the show’s limited but wildly successful run in spring 2006. LAC’s version of this classic pits our country’s first female president against the lobbyists who have her trapped inside her temporary White House. Hmmm. (Incidentally, this DVD and previous DVDs of equal success are now available for previewing on LAC’s “Dub-A-Vision†section of their internet site: www.laconnectioncomedy.com.) In addition, everyone looks forward to the chance of winning the traditional ONE-YEAR PASS to the L.A. Connection’s comedy performances plus passes to next year’s monthly movie dubbings at the L.A Connection Comedy Theatre on the second Saturday of the month at 7pm.

8:00 p.m.: $20.00, 10:00 p.m. $30.00, Both Shows: $40.00
