It’s been said that spirit sometimes speaks to you in mysterious ways, but nobody believes it. It is not “fashionable.†Yet, we know today that the key to the next century is not a new computer gadget, or a software that scrubs the kitchen floor, or teaches us how to dance, but rather it is a new way of thinking. And, sometimes even the word “thinking†is scary all by itself….When did we last really think? Officially, that is!
For young Pam Drinnon, it was a profound experience at an early age that changed her life forever, which is what most of us lacks…it is easier to go with the crowd asleep…not wanting too much, not talking to much, not being too smart and on and on it goes until we lye in our death bed wishing we had done things differently; – but for Pam it was an out-of-body transformation that left her inspired and ultimately gave her life true meaning. That is why she, today, can help the rest of us.
There are TV series lately, tons of them, about out of body experiences, but for Pam the reality of it was undeniable. It had set her life on a course of service to others, which ultimately should be the goal of all mankind. Mankind should be kind to mankind! If only it was so! If it was so America would not be in the situation it is today, – I firmly believe that!
Quantum Physics proves in more than one ways that there is no isolation: “all is one†is true, except it has been horribly misinterpreted. Just for proof it is enough to see what is going on in the world today: old empires, rigid dictatorships and belief systems are destroyed, and natural disasters in countless places force us to understand that it is not all about me and the other person and the Jones, but it is ALL about US!
US, as in collective! (Well, ironically enough US can also be interpreted as the United States if you will, but let’s not go into that one! It would exceed the realms of this article…)
In 1966 Pam Drinnon was a young mother mired in an unhappy marriage. Her parents had both died when she was in her teens, and was utterly unprepared for marriage after becoming pregnant at 17, and had nowhere to turn. (Probably sounds very familiar to our new generation that does not only struggle with this very problem daily, but they also have no passion, aim, goal, or a feel for life at all topping it all! Nihilists? No! That we would at least be able to define! The new generation would not know what it means to be a nihilist. That is just where the problem starts.)
As the pressures of making a living and taking care of two small children took their toll, Pam became overwhelmed with feelings of rejection and sadness. At one point her husband simply stopped talking to her as a method of punishment. “My husband was very non-communicative and never before had I experienced someone completely shutting me out like that,†she says. “I began to wish that I could die. Although I had my children, I felt they would be better off without me. My life seemed to be a black hole which I could not escape from.â€
One night her despair nearly broke her. Pam began praying, repeating the only prayers she knew by heart. The repetitive prayers became a mantra and she finally drifted off into the blessed relief of sleep.
Then, as she felt herself peacefully drifting off, something magical happened. “Suddenly I was lifted up out of my body and I felt an enormous love engulfing me. Wave after wave of extreme joy and ecstasy washed over me. It was a feeling that penetrated me to my very core as never before! More waves of love saturated my entire body. The love was so intense that all I could do was cry and cry, as waves of bliss washed over me.â€
What happened to Pam Drinnon has happened to many other people, and these experiences are hard to quantify. It’s an experience that is as elusive to document as contacts with UFOs or aliens, but no less vivid to the people who have had those experiences. What Pam experienced is just as real as that dream you had last night and as difficult to explain. Sometimes it feels that you want to stay in the dream and it is a pain to wake up from it, some other times it is a blessing to wake up and realize it was ‘just a dream,’ yet some other times the dream is so real you cannot tell it apart from “reality.†And, this is the point where we arrive to proven, scientific and very real quantum physics that is now proven in a chamber or lab to be as true as, ready?…, physical reality!
These are experiences that can’t be proved in front of you on television, or in the class room JUST YET, and skeptics might be lumped into the realm of the paranormal, but as human beings develop their consciousness and move into greater realms of spirituality, these encounters become more common, and are always of enormous interest. “The Doors of Perception,†as Aldus Huxley called them, are opening wider. You do not need to see the entire staircase, you just need to take the first step. Because every step you take will open a new opportunity, a new possibility out of which there comes the endless waive of potentiality, which even amazes God! You simply do not know what you can do and what can be done until you actually do them! And, that is called: creation!
Consider the movie Michael, starring John Travolta. Asking the question, does it make a difference if you believe in angels, Nora Ephron’s film offers a possible answer in an entertaining and ultimately touching film, offering divine intervention as the means by which people are finally steered in the right direction. While obviously a work of fiction, Michael and It’s a Wonderful Life, with its delightful angel character Clarence, offer the promise of redemption in the form of a transcendent being who’s there to guide the lost and the lonely. It’s an eternal motif in storytelling and a story that goes back as long as humans have existed. And, while we did not know the truth until today, we now know the truth: It is true!
For Pam Drinnon the spiritual experience was manifested in lights. “I opened my eyes and was awestruck by the sights around me,†she says. “Hundreds of bright lights in small groups surrounded me. As they came closer I was able to make out faces and bodies, all aglow with brilliant white light! I knew they were Angels, an enormous host of them, and with heavenly voices they begin singing celestial music that I will never forget. Very powerful and inspiring, it was almost as tangible as the sound waves rippled through me. The music was so glorious! I wept tears of pure joy.â€
It was that experience, a feeling of pure spiritual bliss that put Pam Drinnon on a lifelong path of trying to reconnect to it and share it with others. All the people who meet her are blessed because through her they come to realize that there is something bigger than themselves (this is a quote by the way from our highly respected and beloved Oprah Winfrey who herself has gone through the necessary “pain and suffering,†or “school of life†if you will to get to where she is today…)
“I desperately wanted to get back to that feeling again,†Pam says. “I decided I would do whatever it took to get back there again.â€
These experiences have been recounted by numerous people having near-death experiences (on or off camera)…, people who have approached the other side, but made a decision to stay in this world. Somehow they all say the same, – independently of each other.
Searching for answers to these miraculous experiences, Pam began studying spiritual and analytical information on the subconscious. “I was always interested in hypnosis and the subconscious, and I wanted to help people connect with a higher consciousness.†She also attended seminars and shared her experiences with Edgar Cayce, and began studying meditation with Steven Sadleir and reading books like Power vs. Force by David Hawkins. “This was fascinating to me because it had to do with muscle testing, something I had experienced in my kinesiology studies,†she says.
Due to popular demand Pam is now working on a book summing up what she has learned over the years, and has recently launched an Internet-based radio show, The I Am Well Show, that reaches an ever-expanding audience.
“There is so much need for this and people are looking for answers. I just feel so blessed that am able to help and I am ready now to spread this message,†Pam says. “I know my purpose in life is to serve people every day,†she adds.
Maybe all of us learning from Pam will one day be able to awaken and feel our lives as blessed despite the hardship at times as hers is. And, maybe, just maybe, we finally will understand that we create our own reality and that life itself is a gift. Pam is not only here to help us better understand our own reality, but her healing power alone makes the person in her presence realize the truth! As Pam touches people’s lives, the world is changing, even if just one person at a time!
