Story-telling, sing-a-longs, crafts, face-painting, enactment of a fairytale, myth or legend, theatre games, refreshments and special surprise gifts make up this delightful Santa Monica Playhouse Theatre Adventure for 4 to 10 year olds and their grown-ups, hosted by the gaily costumed Enchanted Fairytale Ladies.
Based on the extremely popular Enchanted Lunchtime experience, this exciting interactive theatre event has been expanded by popular demand to include kids up to ten years of age. Grandchildren coming for the three-day weekend? Moms and Dads want to do something special on that holiday Monday? Enchanted Fairytale Interactive Theatre is just the thing to give kids the chance to make new friends, improvise, make handicrafts, sing and dance. Parents work as partners throughout this adorable acting adventure, taking an acti
ve role in all aspects of the program as everyone shares their personal perspectives on the day’s fairytale, plays fun games that develop the imagination, and works with crafts to create props which are used in the final presentation. Self-confidence, communication and team-building skills are welcome by-products of this enchanting intergenerational experience.
