Growth Capital Conference, April 28

In need of capital for your startup?  Looking for deals in which to invest?

Or might you just want to keep your finger on the pulse of today’s fast-moving entrepreneurial scene?

GCC2
Attendees connect at the last Growth Capital Conference held in late January.

Growth Capital Conference will host a gathering of those in the startup space this coming Thursday, April 28 at the Olympic Collection (Olympic and Sawtelle in West LA) from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.

One company that will be presenting April 28 specializes in providing robotics for small and medium-sized manufacturers.

Another company will demonstrate a system that enables restaurants, malls and retail stores to send signals directly to a close-by individual’s personal device.

For example, if you are standing outside a restaurant, you can review the restaurant’s menu on your smartphone before deciding to go in.

A third company will demonstrate software that measures the quality of someone’s driving. Transportation companies – and parents of teenagers – take note!

Growth Capital Conference meets quarterly at Olympic Collection on the third Thursday of January, April, July and October.

Another company will showcase a device that enables consumers to do a full diagnostic check on their cars, including engine performance, safety and trip management statistics.

Yet another startup will discuss its “one stop shopping” news and information site that allows users to find the latest news on any topic in a quick and user-friendly manner.

A final presenter will talk about a new piece of software that facilitates mortgage placements, enabling lenders and borrowers to find each other – and the best deals.

Representatives from angel groups, boutique venture capitalists, real estate investors and crowdfunding organizations will be in attendance, listening to the pitches.

Several deals that have been presented at Growth Capital Conference in the past have gone on to become funded by investors in attendance.

If you think you might want to present a deal in the future, it’s a good idea to attend GCC to pick up pointers and see how it works.

And if you just want to attend to see what’s what, GCC is a friendly place, with lots of networking opportunities.  Bring business cards!

Tickets are still available.  For more information, go to: gcc2000.org.
