Join Tracy Trivas, author of The Wish Stealers, at Scribble Press (1109 Montana Ave. Santa Monica, CA 90403) on Sunday, February 27 from 1-3 p.m. as she guides children through an interactive discussion about wishing customs all over the world, reads from her book, and helps participants either write their own “Wish Book†or create a back-story for one of the magical stolen Indian Head pennies.
Attendees are invited to purchase Trivas’ book, “The Wish Stealers”, which she will she will sign with a personal note for each participant.
Recommended for grades 3-6; the workshop is free*, but reservations are required as space is limited.

The Wish Stealers, published by Simon & Schuster, is a novel about an old woman who has been stealing wishes out
of a fountain for decades. Before the old woman dies she tricks brave and smart, Griffin Penshine, into accepting a box of eleven stolen Indian Head pennies. These stolen wishes come with a horrible curse. Griffin must race against time to return the lost wishes before all her
own secret wishes unravel.
