It’s official: TechFire is catching fire.

David Murphy, CEO of TechFire, a leading organizer of “fireside chats” with digital leaders, just announced the speaker lineup for TechFire’s May 28 TechFire Ignite Summit.

These events are generally recognized as top quality gatherings, where entrepreneurs can learn from legendary business builders who have come before.

Barker

Brandee Barker, Co-Founder and Partner of the PR firm called “Pramana Collective,” helped grow Facebook into a global phenomenon. Some of her teammates come from Skype, Hulu and Twitter. Barker has advised clients like Uber, Dropbox and Spotify.

Conrad
Tony Conrad, founder of “about.me.” Tony is now a partner in TrueVentures.

Tony Conrad started about.me and then sold it to AOL four days after launching. He later bought it back – at a hefty discount. At True Ventures, he has led investments in WordPress.com, MakerBot, Blue Bottle Coffee, Typekit and High Fidelity. He’s also a personal investor in Slack.

Morehead

Dan Morehead is founder and CEO of Pantera Capital, which has a $150 million bitcoin investment fund.

Therese Tucker is CEO of BlackLine, an online finance platform used by companies like Verizon, Hyatt, United Airlines, MasterCard and NBCUniversal.

Brandon Sokol of Tribune Media; Troy Carter, CEO of the Atom Factory; Beth Seidenberg of Kleiner Perkins; Aaron Hirschhorn, Co-Founder and CEO of DogVacay; William Hsu, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Mucker Capital and Mucker Lab; Howard Morgan of First Round Capital; Andrew Morbitzer, VP of Corporate Development with GoDaddy; and Michael Dubin, CEO of Dollar Shave Club.  Rob Kornegay of Wilson Sonsini often serves as moderator.

The summit will be held May 28 at the Historic Women’s Club on Fourth Street in Santa Monica.

This TechFire event will be sponsored by: Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati, Silicon Valley’s premier law firm; BlackLine, an online financial services hub; CBRE, a huge commercial real estate management company; and EY, professional service consultants.

David Murphy, who organizes the TechFire events, is the author of the widely acclaimed LA Tech Agenda, a blueprint for building LA’s tech infrastructure and community. Murphy has been involved in several startups of his own and is well-known throughout the Silicon Beach community.   He has also been active in efforts to combat LA’s notorious gridlock.
