A judge set an Aug. 29 hearing to determine whether there is enough evidence to require singer Cee Lo Green to stand trial on a charge that he slipped Ecstasy to a woman at a downtown Los Angeles restaurant nearly two years ago.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Renee Korn noted pm May 27 that there would be “no further continuances” in the case, which was filed last October.

Green, whose legal name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, is charged with one felony count of furnishing a controlled substance.

Green is accused of slipping Ecstasy to a 33-year-old woman while they were at a restaurant some time between July 13, 2012, and July 14, 2012, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

The two later went back to the woman’s hotel, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors declined to file a charge of rape of an intoxicated person, citing insufficient evidence.

Green – who has been a coach on the NBC singing competition series The Voice – pleaded not guilty at a hearing Oct. 21, 2013. He is free on bail.

If convicted as charged, he faces up to four years in state prison, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
