The Los Angeles Master Chorale’s seasonal favorite, Holiday Wonders: Festival of Carols, which has sold out for the past two years, expands to two Saturday matinees December 3 and 10, 2011, 2:00pm, at Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Cherished holiday carols such as Joy to the World, The First Noel, Hark the Herald Angels Sing and others – sung to perfection by 115 members of the Chorale under Music Director Grant Gershon’s baton – set a joyful mood, enhanced by John Rutter’s thrilling three-movement Gloria.
Dazzling brass and Disney Hall’s iconic pipe organ, played by John West, add sonic flourish to make this concert a highlight of the season.
Tickets for children 6-12 are discounted in all sections. (Children under six not admitted.)
Holiday Wonders: Festival of Carols is made possible, in part, with support from The Bank of America Charitable Foundation and the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts.
