AGOURA HILLS, Calif. (June 12, 2009) – Camp Keystone Summer Day camp is pleased to announce the addition of an innovative adult outdoor fitness program, Camp Keystone Fitness. Located in Agoura Hills on 30 acres of rolling hillside Camp Keystone Fitness provides “boot camp style” workouts in an encouraging atmosphere, designed to challenge the body and mind.

Camp Keystone Fitness’ unique program was developed by Larry Klein, owner of Camp Keystone Summer Day Camp. “I am always looking for new ways to take advantage of our beautiful facility and after a few parents asked, ‘can I come to camp?’ I began thinking about ways adults could enjoy our facility. This prompted the development of Camp Keystone Fitness,” says Klein.

Klein was motivated by the excitement and challenge of creating a new program from scratch. “I knew we had the best facility in Southern California for an outdoor fitness program but I didn’t want the program to be just another military style boot camp. I wanted people to enjoy the outdoors and work at their own pace. I didn’t want a program that used screaming and yelling as motivation,” says Klein.

With over 100 different exercise classes planned, the program is designed to achieve goals by maintaining interest through creative and ever changing workouts. “I have witnesses it time and time again, people fall off the wagon once their fitness regiment becomes routine and is no longer challenging. We want to promote a lifestyle change that will stick,” says Justin Spanko, fitness instructor at Camp Keystone Fitness.

>The expert staff at Camp Keystone Fitness is comprised of certified personal trainers, semi-pro athletes and members of the American Council on Exercise. Proven experts in the “art of exercise,” Camp Keystone Fitness instructors attend to each client’s individual fitness levels to ensure that every workout is challenging, invigorating, as well as fun.

Camp Keystone Fitness is located on a 1,306,800 sq. ft. private park with over 600 sycamore and oak trees, several trails and paths, a natural stream and four acres of manicured lush green lawns. The private location has many advantages over typical outdoor fitness programs which are usually held in a public setting. Camp Keystone Fitness’ private facility eliminates onlookers, provides on-site staff, easy and convenient parking, clean and well maintained bathrooms, and readily available workout equipment removes the task of lugging equipment to and from workouts.

Classes cost between $14 and $17 and are offered Monday through Friday with six sessions per day. Camp Keystone Fitness members can attend any session throughout the day, or up to five classes a week depending on membership. To encourage continued success clients receive on half-hour private training session with each month of membership.

Camp Keystone Fitness is located at 2854 Triunfo Canyon Road, Agoura Hills, CA 91301. For more information or to register for classes call 818.889.2224 or visit www.CampKeystoneFitness.com.
