The Annual Arthritis Walk in Los Angeles will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2011; the walk begins at 9:00 a.m.
at the Santa Monica Pier, Lot 1 North (next to the Pier)
Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. followed by the opening ceremony at 8:30am an 8:45am warm up and then 9am the walkers are off on either a one or three mile path until 12pm when the Arthritis Walk Village which will feature live entertainment, Kids Zone, activities, refreshments, and food opens and the festivities continue.
“Let’s move together…†More than 50 million Americans, one in five adults, suffer daily from some form of arthritis and chronic joint pain. There are 1.2 million adults in Los Angeles County, and 42,000 children in California, who suffer from Arthritis.
The Arthritis Walk is the Arthritis Foundation’s signature event that takes place in communities nationwide to raise funds and awareness to fight arthritis, the nation’s number one cause of disability.
