The American Heart Association invites women in Los Angeles to join us at the JW Marriott Hotel at LA Live to learn about their heart and keeping it healthy at the 2012 Go Red For Women Luncheon.
The half-day event will include a health expo, free health screenings, educational breakout sessions and a heart-healthy luncheon. The speakers will include Katherine Wolf, a young mother and wife from Culver City who suffered a stroke at the age of 26, and Kathy Magliato, MD, cardiothoracic surgeon and Board President of the American Heart Association’s Greater Los Angeles Division.
Heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases are the leading causes of death in women, claiming the lives of 430,000 women every year. More women die of cardiovascular diseases than the next four causes of death combined, including all forms of cancer. Go Red For Women raises awareness of heart disease in women and empowers them to take charge of their health.
