The Los Angeles Kings will honor former left wing Mike Donnelly before tonight’s game against the Calgary Flames at Staples Center in the second of their three-game Legends Night Series games for the 2015-16 season.
Donnelly played for the Kings from 1990-95, scoring at least 21 goals in three of his five seasons with the team. He now works for the team’s player development department.
Fans are encouraged to reach their seats early. All fans will receive a commemorative Mike Donnelly pin. The ceremony will be televised live by Fox Sports West.
The Kings will wear their vintage gold jerseys with the crown emblem. The only times the Kings will wear that jersey at home games this season are for Legends Nights Series games.
The Kings will conduct their final Legends Nights Series game on March 7, honoring Jimmy Carson, a Kings center from 1986-88 and 1992-94, before the game against the Vancouver Canucks.
Longtime announcer Nick Nickson was honored Nov. 10 in the season’s first Legends Night Series game.
