Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies say 17-year-old Cody James Murphy was going more than 90 mph when he lost control of his car on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, struck an embankment and flipped over several times. He died in the crash. Three teen passengers in the 2007 Subaru Impreza were injured in the crash, one critically. One teen managed to walk away from the wreck. Authorities say the speed limit was 55 mph and some of the Newbury Park High School students in the car told investigators they had been drinking. Inside the car, they found an empty bottle of Jagermeister, as well as a glass pipe and a pill bottle containing medical marijuana.
