The Asia Society Southern California will present a forum on the impact of media on a new Afghanistan Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Co-sponsored by Huffington Post, Paley Center for Media, and UCLA Asia Institute.
The forum and dialogue will take place at The Bel-Air Country Club 10768 Bellagio Road, Los Angeles 90077 in the Bel-Air room from 4:30pm to 6:00pm. A reception will follow the program.
The cost is $30 for members of the Asia Society SoCal, the Paley Center for Media and UCLA Asia Institute, and $40 for the public.

The Asia Society’s Trustee, Tom Freston, who lived in Kabul right up to the 1978 coup in Afghanistan will lead the discussion amongst award-winning journalist Richard Engel, NBC Chief Foreign Correspondent, and Afghanistan’s preeminent media company chairman, Saad Mohseni of MOBY Media. All participants will share their on-the-ground, personal exeperiences about the truth in war-torn Afghanistan.
