Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Requiem, which the composer left incomplete at the time of his death, is generally recognized as not only one of the composer’s finest works, but one of the greatest pieces in the sacred choral repertoire.

The concert will also include the motet “Der Geist hilft,†by J.S. Bach, sung by a solo octet and organist Roger Daggy will be joined by a brass choir and percussionist Alan Reinicke in Marcel Dupré’s “Poème Héroïque†for organ, brass and field drum. The Dupré performance is part of the church’s commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Fisk Pardee Memorial Organ at St. Matthew’s. The concert takes place at St. Matthew’s Church, 1031 Bienveneda Avenue, Pacific Palisades.
