SOME OF MY PARTS, DARITH LALLOU MACKENZIE’S journey from wide-eyed wonder to aging gracefully in a changing world, will be A Very Special Event at THEATRE FORTY for three nights only, October 31st, November 1st and 2nd at their Reuben Cordova Theatre on the Beverly Hills High School Campus.
In the space of one hour, Mackenzie will undertake six provocative, heartfelt and wickedly funny characters, ages nine to 75. The show’s monologues, related by such disparate women as a New England matron, a Texan teen and an insightful, Jewish mother, explore first love, sexual bewilderment, marriage and obsession with youth. Whether recounting sexcapades with European men, swearing off cosmetic surgery or mourning a taciturn father, Ms. Mackenzie’s rich and varied characters dare us to embrace our flawed and glorious humanity.
