Pearl Recovery Retreat launches “Breast Dressed†bra decorating contest in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Los Angeles (October 20, 2010) – Pearl Recovery Retreat, the leading U.S.-based recovery center for cosmetic and plastic surgery, has announced its support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with its inaugural “Breast Dressed†contest.

The contest, co-sponsored by pop culture blog, Kelly Ryan O’Brien: stuff i like, whose founder will channel her experience as a style expert and guest judge for three seasons on Bravo TV’s Project Runway to choose the winner, is intended to raise awareness about best practices for breast cancer post-operative recovery.

“We are extremely excited for this opportunity to raise awareness about breast cancer surgery recovery, a topic that is rarely addressed and often misunderstood,†remarked Isabella Koretz, founder and CEO of Pearl Recovery Retreat.

Added O’Brien: “This is a creative way to get people involved with National Breast Cancer Awareness month, and I can’t wait to see what our designers create!â€

The “Breast Dressed†contest will kick-off on Monday, October 25, 2010, as the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM) organization celebrates its 25th anniversary, and will culminate on “National Pink Day†on Friday, October 29, 2010.

Criteria and details for submissions include:

• Any brazier size and type is eligible.
• The entire bra surface must be covered with décor.
• Décor must include something pink and at least 10 pearls.
• Winning brazier will be based on creativity, use of materials, and uniqueness.
• A photo of the brazier (1)on a hanger and (2)the participant holding the brazier must be submitted along with the participant’s name, email, phone number, slogan describing their brazier, type of materials used, and inspiration to Kristen@SmartGirlsConsulting.com.
• Participants must post a 15 to 25 word shout-out for the “Breast Dressed†contest on the Kelly Ryan O’Brien: stuff i like and Pearl Recovery Retreat Facebook Fan Page walls.
• All submission photos will be posted on both sponsors’ Facebook Fan Pages to generate excitement and awareness.
• Winner will receive a $100 gift certificate to Victoria’s Secret and inclusion in all contest press materials.

Participants may begin submitting their “Breast Dressed†bra along with above information on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 8 a.m. PST. Submissions must be received by no later than Friday, October 29, 2010, 12 p.m. PST.

The winning bra will be chosen by O’Brien and Koretz, and the winner will be announced via both sponsors’ social media properties (blog, Facebook fan page, Twitter) on Sunday, October 31, 2010.
