Registration is now open for the fourth annual Bowling for Birthdays fundraiser, a charity event that raises funds to throw birthday parties for homeless and foster youth living in the greater Los Angeles Area.

This year’s event will be held at AMF Bay Shore Lanes on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 234 Pico Blvd. in Santa Monica.  This event is a great opportunity to bring colleagues and family members together while helping out a great cause.  As a team, you can compete against other groups to see who can bring in the most money to help children’s birthday wishes come true.

Individuals and teams can sign up online at bowlingforbirthdays.kintera.org. A registration fee of $20 covers shoe rentals, an hour of bowling, and support for birthday parties. The day will also include fantastic prizes for top fundraisers and several raffles for prizes ranging from yoga studio membership to family fun packs.

Last year, hundreds came out for the third annual Bowling for Birthdays fundraiser. Proceeds made a full year of birthday parties possible and gave children who were facing adversity the opportunity to be children by playing with friends, eating cake, opening gifts, and simply enjoying their special day.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available and include on-site tabling, logo placement on program materials, mention in an e-newsletter article (reaching over 2,500 local supporters), banner ads on the website, and entrance to the event. In addition, they are still accepting in-kind donations from business that would like to donate merchandise, gift cards, tickets, or special offers for our raffle. This year’s goal is to raise $15,000 to continue funding birthday parties.

Cause for Celebration is a 501 (c) non-profit organization whose mission is to fulfill the dreams of children and adolescents residing in homeless shelters and in the foster care system by providing them with a birthday party. CFC believes that while children should be celebrated everyday, it is important to show love and appreciation on the day that is all their own.

Sign up now so you can make many more birthdays possible for these deserving children.
