Directors Anaïs Huerta and Raúl Cuesta’s film, REHJE, in Spanish with English subtitles will make its USA debut at the Los Angeles Film Festival [LAFF] as part of its International Spotlight section.
REHJE is about a middle-aged woman who returns to her small Mexican village to rediscover the joy of her childhood after a life of disappointments in Mexico City. Sadly, she finds that her small town does not measure up to her idealized remembrance of it– in large part because of its scarce water supply.
The film will play at the festival twice; on Tuesday June 23rd at 7:30pm and on Thursday, June 25th at 2:30pm at The Regent.
