On Sunday, Feb. 20, Saint John’s Health Center is inviting its Heart Family to celebrate the Heart Center’s new home in the recently opened Howard Keck Center. The Heart Reunion will bring together Saint John’s heart patients with their caring nurses, experienced physicians and dedicated support staff, along with several surprise distinguished guests.
The event will take place in Saint John’s new four-story atrium and dining court from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
In addition to emotional reunions heart-healthy foods and drinks, music, a photo booth and several tables dedicated to heart health will be available to all attendees.
Saint John’s Registered Dietitians will be on hand to answer questions about nutrition as well as to share heart-healthy recipes. There will also be booths where guests can get a body composition analysis, including their body mass index (BMI), as well as massages. BMI scores are considered a measure of whether a person is “underweight,” “healthy,” “overweight” or “obese” and are an important tool in evaluating heart health.
Additionally, there will be tours of the health center which continues Saint John’s long history of providing cutting-edge cardiac care, including minimally invasive surgical techniques and cardiovascular interventions, such as cardiac catheterization, balloon angioplasty, rotoblator angioplasty, drug-eluting stent implantation and advanced electrophysiological treatment techniques.
Saint John’s welcomes the entire community to learn more about the cutting-edge Heart Center and everything it has to offer.
