Each year in the United States, nearly 200,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer. In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Saint John’s Health Center will present its “2nd Annual Pink Ribbon Lectures – A Woman’s Health — Breast Health and Cancer†on Wednesday, October 19 from 6:30 to 8:30pm and Thursday, October 20 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at the Santa Monica Public Library, Auditorium.
Featured speakers and topics include Saint John’s physicians and surgeons: Sean Fischer, MD, medical oncologist (Breast Cancer Prevention); Daniel Kirsch, MD, radiologist (Finding Breast Cancer Early – Mammograms, Ultrasound, and MRI); Leslie Memsic, MD, FACS, surgeon and Maggie DiNome, MD, FACS, surgeon (Breast Conserving Surgery); Lisa Chaiken, MD, radiation oncologist (Radiation Therapy for Breast Cancer); Gregory Senofsky, MD, FACS, FSSO, surgeon and Leslie Memsic, MD, FACS, surgeon (Mastectomy and Breast Reconstruction); and Cathie Chung, MD, medical oncologist (Current Medical Therapies for Breast Cancer).
This free educational program is presented in collaboration with the American Cancer Society. A representative will be available to provide educational literature and information about services.
