The Santa Monica Pier Centennial Celebration, taking place at the Santa Monica Pier on September 9th, will draw thousands of community members, as well as visitors from all over the globe to celebrate the 100th anniversary of one of America’s greatest icons and its rich history as one of Southern California’s premier destinations to relax and enjoy the beach and sun, as well as top-notch entertainment, recreation, dining and vacationing.
The celebration will feature a ceremonial procession and re-christening of the Pier, a day and night of entertainment including the first fireworks show on the Pier in 18 years, which will be staged off three barges in the Santa Monica Bay. In addition, Honorary Co-Chair of the Santa Monica Restoration Company Robert Redford will be at the celebration to ring in the next 100 years.
